Children are not small adults. Our paediatric service covers infants, children and adolescents, with a neonatal intensive care unit for babies who need close support.
About our paediatrics service
Paediatrics covers growth, development and the illnesses of childhood. Parents come to us for everyday problems - fever, cough, loose motions, poor feeding - and for planned care such as vaccination and growth monitoring.
When a child needs observation, IV fluids or oxygen, admission is arranged here rather than by referral. Newborns needing intensive support are cared for in our NICU, and the emergency service is open at any hour.

- Fever, cough, cold and throat infections
- Loose motions, vomiting and dehydration
- Asthma, wheezing and recurrent chest infections
- Newborn jaundice, low birth weight and feeding difficulty
- Poor weight gain, growth and development concerns
- Worm infestation, skin rashes and allergies
- Ear pain and repeated ear or tonsil infections
- Childhood injuries and minor accidents
